MO Xiuchen released her hand and his low, resounding voice echoed in the car. When he finished speaking, he turned his head away, no longer looking at her.
Wen Ran frowned, looking at his somewhat cold and stern face. She really couldn’t understand where she had offended him.
MO Xiuchen turned his head back and looked at her with a deep gaze. “No matter who I’m with, you don’t need to hold back.”
Finally, after a long time, Wen Ran realized what he was upset about. An unusual feeling rose in her heart, and she blinked guiltily before finally admitting: “I’m not avoiding you because I saw you with another woman. I just don’t find Cheng Jia likable, despite her being the one who saved your life, hence why I left.”
Assured that she wasn’t lying, MO Xiuchen’s stern face softened slightly. In a relaxed tone, he echoed: “It’s normal that you don’t like her. She may have saved my life when we were young, but I don’t like her either – just like you.”
