Exedra gingerly took his sleeping daughter from his grandfathers arms and held her delicately.
She was muttering something incomprehensible with a smile on her face that charmed everyone present.
Turning towards his grandfather, Exedra bowed his head slightly before speaking. “Thank you. Whether you did it for me or not you saved my life tonight.”
“Oh? Not going to bow a little lower for me?”
“I have thanked you once. Take it or leave it.”
“Brat! I could kill you just by exhaling too hard!”
“And my mother would never forgive you.”
Helios faltered slightly when he remembered what happened the last time his daughter got upset with him.
She actually ran off into the arms of one of the seven demon lords!

Asherah knows what would happen if she left again!
“Ahem I don’t need your thanks. Instead I’ll settle for some information.”
Exedra nodded and gestured towards a table on the balcony and the two men promptly sat down.
“Ask away.” Exedra asked in a bored tone since he was already more or less sure of what he would ask about.
“Those hounds… where did you learn to call for those wretched beasts.” Helios asked through gritted teeth.
He wouldn’t forget those animals as long as he lived.
They had almost killed him thousands of years ago when he was much weaker.
And when he remembered the being that’d called for them.. his already fiery blood boiled even further when he remembered the humiliation he’d suffered on that day.
While Exedra’s were incomparably weaker, the beasts trademark of being absolutely fearless was no different.
They even dared to growl at him even though he could crush them like ants.
Exedra thought for a long time about what he should say.
The answers to why he could do the things he could do were always long and unnecessarily complicated so he didn’t want to explain fully unless it was absolutely necessary.
Exedra answered plainly. “I only know that occasionally when I try to learn a spell, a completely different one will be imprinted in my mind. I learned the spell to call the hounds when I was trying to learn to summon a fenris spirit. I don’t even really know what they are.”
While that was surprising, Helios relaxed some when he heard this answer and instead posed another question. “Then what do you know of a being known as Fatum?”
“Nothing.”
Helios eyed Exedra calmly to discern whether he was lying.
As he watched his grandson silently stroke his sleeping daughter’s hair he could see no traces of deceit and accepted his answer.
“Want to tell me who he is?” Exedra asked without taking his eyes off his daughter.
Helios thought about it for a whole as he gazed at the moon with a complicated expression in his eye.
The topic of this man seemed to have brought up many unpleasant memories and after a while he got up and prepared to leave. “Fifth stage. We’ll talk over a drink.”
Exedra was still too young and weak to know certain things.
Even if Helios told him, the world had ways of making sure that certain things remained unknown.
As he was walking away, Exedra called out to him. “Wait.”
“Hm?”
“Didn’t get a gift from you.”
Helios nearly spat blood when he heard his grandson’s request.
Wasn’t he being too shameless?
“I saved your life!”
“Didn’t ask you to.”
“Greedy bastard!”
“I’m a dragon.”
“That’s…” Helios’ voice trailed off as he realized greed was indeed in their blood and simply rolled his eyes in frustration.𝑶𝐯xt.𝗇t
“Fine. Because you impressed me today I will grant you one request as long as it’s not something exorbitant.”
For the first time, Helios saw a charming smile spread across the lips of his grandson.

POV : Exedra
After the party finally ended, I returned to my room after putting Mira down for bed.
I was sitting at my desk writing down a list of names.
These were the men and women who’d uttered something unsavory about Lisa tonight and I planned on using my influence as a member of the royal family to make their lives incredibly difficult.
While something in me was screaming to just kill them outright, I couldn’t risk destabilizing the kingdom to make a point.
‘Although a few shouldn’t hurt…’
I looked around my empty room and noticed my wives still weren’t here.
They usually beat me in here since their so excited for ‘night activities’.
The more I explore my heritage and powers as an incubus, the more I understand why so many end up kidnapped and sold.

As I looked down at Lisa who was shaking slightly in my arms I found her incredibly beautiful.
I tilted her chin upwards and planted a firm kiss on her lips.
She shuddered slightly in my grasp before she relaxed and I slipped my tongue into her mouth.
“Are you sure you want this? I asked her calmly after our kiss broke.
I could feel her heart beating rapidly against my body and I could feel her starting to heat up.
Lisa turned to see Lailah and Bekka undressing and was slightly flustered as she admired their sensual bodies.
She wriggled out of my grasp and promptly walked to the nightstand by the bed and picked up a bottle of wine.
With the three of us watching with wide eyes she proceeded to gulp down the entire bottle in under thirty seconds.
Lailah : “Wow…”

After she dragged her gaze over the three of us for a few seconds without saying anything she proceeded to uncork another bottle of wine and down that one too.
While she was slowly falling into alcoholism, I was able to get a good look at her body.
Before Bekka and Lailah stripped her and just threw her into my arms so I couldn’t admire her but now that I am I realize her charm is in no way below theirs.
Might even be slightly above.
