Once he noticed she was several blocks away, Wasp rushed towards Kamei, flying at lightning speed with his insectoid wings.
"Aaah?!"
It didn't take much time for Kamei to notice the loud buzzing sound produced by Wasp's wings rapidly approaching her.
"Come here you little shit!"
Her eyes were filled with horror as she saw the half-insect man's claws and tail about to tear her to shreds!
"B-Bastard…!"
But at that moment.
"Let…"
Frank's light…
"LET HER GO!!!"
Shone the brightest.
FLAAASH!
The power coursing through him fully awakened, as Humility manifested fully, imprinting itself into his very soul.
"UUUAAAAAGGHH!"
With a scream full of desperation, fear, and the will to save his sister no matter what, Frank released it all in that moment.
"W-What…?!"
Wasp's eyes widened as he saw a gigantic white hand appear above him, made entirely out of white and golden light.
Somehow…
Frank had been waiting for this moment his entire life.
His Aura exploded, transforming into this hand which rushed towards Wasp…
And with all his might.
"AAAAHHH!"
With a roar that burned his very soul, the hand crushed Wasp like the bug he was.
CRAAASH!
"GAAAGGH?!"
Wasp felt several of his bones breaking, as he vomited blood and felt the immense pressure and weight of the hand above his entire body.
"NNNGGGH…! Y-YOU DAMN…! YOU DAMN FUCKER!!!"
Wasp screamed utter fury, as he started pushing the hand back, but Frank didn't stop, his Aura constantly changed.
His wings turned into countless white hands, unifying into a larger, and larger fist.
"I TOLD YOU…! THAT I WOULDN'T LET YOU HURT MY SISTER!!!"
Kamei's eyes widened as she saw her brother, and while shedding tears, she ran away, until she suddenly walked past an invisible barrier, exiting the domain.
"SHUT UP, YOU BASTARD!"
Wasp roared back, as he transformed out of nowhere, into an utter abomination!
RUMBLE!
"YOU THINK YOU CAN OVERPOWER ME WITH THAT SHITTY ABILITY?! DIE!"
Countless blows reached Frank from every angle.
His hands blew up into pieces, and his entire body…
It was torn to shreds.
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
As Frank fell into pieces over the ground, with whatever last remaining consciousness he had left.
He looked at Wasp return to his human form.
His eyes… weren't happy.
"A-Ah…! No…! I did it again…! I killed him, shit, shit, shit! What do I do now?! His soul! I have to- Ah! I don't have the relic to do it! No…! Master…! I've ruined everything…!"
Even though he died, Frank knew he won.
Unable to feed his monstrous master, Wasp was left to an uncertain, dark future.
Perhaps the only thing that awaited him now was his master's fury.
Or worse, to be devoured by him…
"Serves… you right… bastard…"
As Frank's consciousness was engulfed by darkness, everything collapsed around him.
And then…
"Aaah!"
His eyes opened, as he gasped for air, coughing.
"Ugh… Agh…"
Even though he had not truly been torn to shreds, he felt like he had blood inside his throat.
"Haah…"
He sighed in relief, finding himself back in the starry palace made of light.
"This is… I'm back…"
As he sighed, he looked around.
No system messages.
No mysterious voice telling him if something new happened.
Nothing but silence.
"…"
He sat down, and then felt something, his hands were sparkling with white light.
"This is…?"
He noticed this light constantly changing shape, resembling white feathered wings, or even graceful white hands.
"Weird…"
As he stood up and began looking at this new, strange power, he looked behind him, the door of Humility was shaking.
FLASH!
The Mark of Humility that was imprinted in the door flew towards his chest and then entered his soul.
FLUOSH!
He felt the light continuously rush through his very being, his veins, muscles, bones, everything.
"Woah…"
And the mark of Humility was fully imprinted into his soul, the open palm holding a small star.
"What is this? A new type of energy? No… wait…"
Frank realized this power was very similar to the Holy Spear he had traced from Elfina.
It was almost the same type of power it possessed, that angelic energy.
"So this is the power of the Path of Humility…"
As he sighed in relief, feeling like there was now something concentrating within his chest, but that wasn't yet complete, he quickly walked towards the center of the palace.
"I assume this is as far as I can go, so just let me return already…"
Silence.
"Okay then."
He walked towards the Door of Wisdom…
FLASH!
But then he was quickly teleported away!
"Aha…"
He really wanted to go to the other two doors, but in the end, he was only permitted a single one.
When he was fully teleported somewhere else, he appeared back in the abandoned cathedral.
At the far end of the cathedral, there was a huge blue colored portal.
It seemed he could return home through that.
But…
The angel statues were still there.
"Ah, I see you've returned, Herald of the Stars. Was the challenge fitting for the path you choose? It might be time for you to return home. Remaining in this unstable realm for too long could be detrimental for you."
And her voice echoed through the cathedral as well.
Frank gritted his teeth.
What's up with her?
She was acting like it was time to say goodbye forever.
"I'm not leaving without you, Michael."
Frank looked around, noticing the other statues quickly losing their power.
This was indeed their last trial, the last time they would give someone a Celestial Mark, giving them the title of Angelic Knight.
"You truly intend to bring me with you? You've been given the Mark of Humility… I can tell you're a very generous and good-natured person… But…"
Michael's voice became weaker, her strong aura was diminishing.
"I don't think it's possible… my time has come… my brothers and sisters… we will go on an eternal slumber, forevermore."
"No… I said I wouldn't let that happen, didn't I? You have another purpose, I know you have! To just sit down here, accepting your fates… Doesn't that make you feel frustrated?!"
