Enigma was also aware of the people fast approaching the stage. In fact, she found them long before Dwane did.
She even tried to use her gravity powers to thrown them into the darkness. But the rules weren’t easy to break.
She had no choice but to allow them to step onto the stage before attacking them.
As a result, she was soon facing three members including Dwane.
One member of the team took Charles to the other end of the stage. Despite not sounding anything grand, this ‘stage’ was more than some fifty miles in radius.
It’s just that the participants were all at level 7. So, to them, this distance was more ‘normal’.
Still, with the three of them standing between her and Charles, Enigma couldn’t directly attack Charles.
Or not…
“Arghhhh!”
A painful scream reverberated across the stage as the white wolf spasmed.
“You!”
“Stop!”
Charles’ teammates were, agruably, enraged.
However, Enigma treated them like air and continued her mental attack on Charles.
“V…stop! I-I’m Charles! My f-fath…” Charles’ fearful mutterings reached everyone.
Charles’ team were both shocked and furious at their young master’s state.
“Bitch!” Dwane spat in anger and signalled to the other two.

The three besieged her in an instant.

Time trickled down and Enigma came close to killing one of the members multiple times.
But due to their great synergy, the team members saved each other.
The direction of the battle, however, seemed to be set.
Until variables appeared.
“You? Enigma?”
“Why the heck are you here?”
“Forget her! Guys, there is something in the cup! I can sense a lot of aura from it!”
The other members started to appear.
The strongest level 7s: Nora, Curtis and Jamie.
The strongest level 8s: Nixon, Tris, Honya, Victor.
The seven of them arrived around the same time. They were dumbstruck that there were people who arrived earlier than them.
But their focus quickly shifted to the ‘treasure’.
After listening to the instructions and trying futilely to reach the throne, everyone concluded one thing.
To reach the throne, you needed to be the last one on the stage.
Since everyone’s levels were at level 7, the seniors didn’t have an overwhelming advantage over their juniors.
It was clear to them that the winner would be one from their batch of top geniuses.
Since their opponents could forfeit and didn’t need to be killed, they had no pyschological burdens fighting Enigma either.

“Let’s clear up Charles’ team and Enigma.” One of the three top level 7s, Curtis said.
“Agreed.” One of the strongest level 8, Victor Caron nodded. His eyes were locked onto Dwane.
Previously, Charles’ team headed by Dwane and Hira defeated Victor.
It was a humiliation.
‘I will crush you and make you forfeit!’ Victor’s eyes glowed dangerously.
“Alright. Good luck.”
With those words, the seven members shot out to their respective opponents.
Enigma was attacked by three members while Dwane and his two teammates were attacked by four.
BOOOM!
Enigma staggered backwards as blood trickled down her lips.
She could easily fight many people of her level but so were the geniuses in front of her. They were the best of the best.
Yet…
“Cough. Cough. We…we really underestimated you.” Curtis wiped the blood off his lips and looked at Enigma with a mix of fear and respect.
“Crazy bitch. You don’t even care about your injuries?” Nora barely stood up as she pointed at the two large injuries on Enigma’s shoulder and abdomen.
The woman in question didn’t seem to care.
While they were still talking, a shadow flashed behind Enigma and Jamie appeared behind her with a sword.
Right when he was about to slash, Enigma elbowed him in the chest.
“Arghhhh!”
Kacha! Kacha! Kacha!
Like bubbles popping, the sound of Jamie’s ribs breaking resounded on the stage.
Jamie lay, utterly injured and on the verge of losing consciousness.
With the last bit of his strength, he said. “I forfeit.”
His body flashed and he disappeared.
His elimination was the first domino. Having lost a third of their power, Enigma’s opponents were quickly pushed to the brink.
“I forfeit.”
“I accept defeat.”
With another flash, the two also disappeared.
Enigma had several wounds on her body, and panted lightly, but overall, she was fine.
On the other hand, Dwane and his members were on the verge of elimination.
But her actions alarmed the four level 8s geniuses.
“Focus on her!”
“She’s injured. Hurry!”
With a sigh, Enigma raised her sword and faced the two opponents.
Even though they were also suppressed to level 7, as genius level 8s, they had more experience.
So, Enigma had to spend more effort to eliminate them.

She gripped her sword and took deep breaths as blood trickled from various parts of her body.
“I forfeit.”
“I’m defeated.”
Two unexpected voices reached her from the distance.
Enigma raised her head to see the two level 8s now eliminated by nine members of Charles’ team.

The tenth member of the team, the psychic, guarded Charles. He also interfered with Enigma’s psychic attacks on Charles.

The battlefield turned bloody as almost everyone got greedy for the life-changing treasure.
As a result, both Enigma and Charles’ team faced a frenzied mob.
‘…This will exhaust me more.’ Enigma sighed and raised her sword.

Forty minutes passed.
There were four corpses on the stage.
Except for these four foolish members, the rest forfeited.
Covered in wounds from head to toe, Enigma looked at the three standing members of the Charles team.
But the one that her killing intent was directed towards was the blond man at the center.
Charles was now completely healed.
“You will pay the price in the place of V-Varian.” Charles stuttered a bit pronouncing that name.
Enigma was far from her perfect condition.
But she wasn’t flustered at all. Instead, she looked at Charles with a mocking gaze as her cold voice rang on the bloodied stage.
“Try saying his name without stuttering. Coward.”
Charles’ face reddened in rage and he turned into a giant white wolf.
“Roaaa!”
A more bloodied, more desperate battle began.
