Davis was seated on one of the peaks of the Great Violent Wildlands. He chilled here from yesterday and it has essentially become known that he would appear here for some time, doing nothing. There would be many onlookers from the distance, simply spying on him and sending information to many powers.
Since the Divine Emperor of Death didn't take action against them, they also got emboldened and came a bit closer. However, Davis instantly stood up and looked at the first person who closed the distance, causing him to turn tail and flee.
Therefore, no one really got too close again.
Davis just chilled, waiting for someone to appear. On the other hand, he couldn't stop worrying about Eldia, who had yet to wake up.
He and Myria tried many methods, all non-invasive to wake her up, but it was useless. They didn't want to forcefully destroy what she was trying to do. In that case, they could only wait, but Eldia's divergence could bring some bad things too, so he couldn't get his mind off of it.
In any case, Fallen Heaven was also in the same space, so he didn't think even an evil existence would not be able to hold a candle against it. The only thing he was worried about was what would happen if Fallen Heaven's existence was found out.
That could lead to its own headaches.
While he was thinking about countermeasures for matters that might not even occur, he abruptly sensed a distortion in space.
Two seconds later, space ripped open, and a raven-shaped battleship exited the space, its silhouette long and ghostly. It was pale black in color, gleaming with a cold metallic sheen.
Davis remembered this battleship. It was the same one that Ghostly Crow Clan's people came and left in. However, it was badly damaged, some parts having been destroyed.
He narrowed his eyes, wondering who would step out from the battleship and he saw a winged person walk out, carrying a black-robed woman in his arms.
He flew straight towards him, his expression cold. Darkness energy swirled around him, one that was more sinister than what Davis knew that a Ghostly Crow Fey could produce, making him intrigued. However, there were countless wounds on his body, one he knew he didn't make.
"Divine Emperor of Death… save her…"
The Ghostly Crow Realm Master lowered his head, looking at the blackened face of his first wife, Fillia. The death poison had spread everywhere. She was a thin line away from death, and his apothecaries back in the battleship could no longer say when she would lose her life.
His eyes turned moist before he gazed at the Divine Emperor of Death with complicated emotions.
The death poison was totally the Divine Emperor of Death's fault, yet he had no one else to rely on. Even the healing ability of Heaven's Warriors proved to be useless since the poison had already invaded deeply throughout the body and soul.

Davis gazed at Yughen before his gaze fell on Fillia.
Honestly, he didn't think the poison would even work in the first place. What he applied on the arrow tip wasn't even a strand of potent death energy or an actual poison. It was just a tiny mark of death energy with a death poison attribute he learned from Rokushi Mirai, yet it was fatal enough to bring a Level One Autarch to this kind of state within four days.
He supposed they could've gotten rid of it if they had found it early, so he was kind of stumped. Surely, they could've found a Heaven's Warrior with a high healing ability to clear the death poison when it was dormant.
It wasn't like he didn't leave a way out for them, so he guessed the first wife, Fillia, actually kept her mouth shut and did what she told him she would do- that she wouldn't sit back and watch them be oppressed by those Grand Elders who betrayed him.
She used her own ailing life to kill their 'allies' who betrayed them.
Davis reached out his hand and pulled Fillia from Yughen's arms.
His gaze flickered, and his muscles tensed, causing him to tighten his hold on her, but after a few seconds, he let go, reaching out his hand as he saw her be taken away.
Fillia floated towards the Divine Emperor of Death. When she appeared in front of him, Davis laid her down on a bed he summoned and started administering life energy inside her body. He first cleansed the heart and the soul, the origin of blood and soul essences. Later, his life energy flooded the entire body and cleansed the soul sea.
The Ghostly Crow Realm Master was stunned as he saw something crazy.
Sacred life energy radiated from an existence that was called evil. He didn't feel any kind of hostility from it at all as he sensed its soft and kind nature. It was as though the Divine Emperor of Death wasn't capable of slaughter at all, making him dumbfounded.
He could see Fillia's skin rapidly lose the blackness of death that extinguished the life in her cells from the inside out. It was unbelievable.
No amount of antidotes or healing pills or light energy did the trick but all of it was gone with the usage of life energy.
However, what truly dumbfounded him was-
"You- you aren't going to… demand that I need to hand over the Realm Core in order for you to save her…?"
Davis raised his head, his eyes squinting.
"You have this woman to thank for ruining my plans."

Originally, Davis expected the Ghostly Crow Realm Master to poison and kill a Grand Elder, but he didn't expect this woman to do it. For her, he imagined she would be cured, but Ghostly Crow Realm Master would bring her to him eventually because he wouldn't know what else he implanted in her and beg him to release her.
With the way he treated and thrashed the Ghostly Crow Realm Master, he knew the other party would be hysterical and full of suspicion regarding the health of his first wife.
After all, he was currently known for his karmic abilities as well since he claimed that he could kill many when he battled the Venerable Knights and nearly held all the Heaven's Warriors hostages.
He hadn't done anything to her other than use death poison, but the Ghostly Crow Realm Master surely wouldn't think that way. Davis was banking on his fear to get him back to this place, and then he would exchange the Realm Core for treating her.
However, he had totally misread.
Unexpectedly, the first wife kept her mouth shut and let the poison ravage her. Honestly, he was impressed enough to heal her without asking anything in return.
