"Young one, you have erred. Why did you commit those crimes?"
"What crimes? Empress, you should know better that males exist to serve us. Isn't that the case from time immemorial? If we don't like them, we can behead them."
"There was no such rule in our clan."
"There isn't, but an Empress shouldn't suppress her urges! Oh- I'm not an Empress in front of you, but in front of them, I'm not something they could handle."
Empress Hexena Xylusc looked at the crazed eyes of the arachnid in front of her. She couldn't help but sigh as she turned around and nodded.
"Improve her bloodline and make her an Empress. She deserves it."
Empress Hexena Xylusc's expression turned sad. She didn't think the first order she would give out was to maim another Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid. It seemed like there was no saving her.
"Are you sure?" Davis asked again.
"Honestly, she reminds me of Flaylock, another arachnid who was sacrificed along with me. He also felt himself to be superior but eventually fell to his Heart Demon. This is a similar case. Flaylock could still have been saved if he was alive, but for her, she had committed a lot of crimes and doesn't even have awareness of it. She refuses to see the lives of fellow arachnids as equal even though she's no queen or empress herself."
Empress Hexena Xylusc sent a soul transmission before nodding as her lips moved, "She will be useful."
"I knew I was right!" The prisoner screamed with excitement, "Empress Hexena, even if I become an Empress, I will always respect you! Let us rule and bring glory back to the clan together!"
She then turned to look at Everlight, instinctively knowing that this beast could possibly make her an Emperor-Tier Beast from what Empress Hexena Xylusc was saying.
Everlight walked forward and began to cast the technique Bloodline Impelling Evolution: Regal.
It was done easily, and the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid quickly evolved, her bones becoming larger and growing a new carapace as though shedding skin while her runes also underwent a qualitative transformation.
After it was done, Davis sent a wisp of death energy inside the holding cell.
Without even knowing what happened, the newly evolved empress went limp. She went into a state of coma.
Seeing this scene, Empress Hexena Xylusc could only shake her head at the loss. She was dumbfounded at the rate of evolution, but to see an arachnid die saddened her. Nonetheless, her eyes radiated determination.
"I'll go harvest her remains. Her evolved bones would be useful to create new and powerful legacy treasures."
"A lady doesn't have to do those things. Let me do it."
Davis gave Felix back to Lea and walked inside the holding cell. He then began gutting the prisoner, carefully draining the blood and removing organs, as well as cleanly taking the bones. As for the true soul essence, he had already collected it. His attack was also a formless energy that brought death and didn't harm the soul essence.
To collect the true soul essence in its full potential, one must be alive. Otherwise, it would deteriorate quickly. Of course, with Fallen Heaven, that shouldn't be a problem, but he wasn't going to use it for that here.
Technically, the prisoner was still alive but could never regain consciousness since her true soul essence was taken. Even with the Emperor-Tier uniqueness, it would be very difficult to revive by herself.

She uttered, not knowing if she was sad or joyous. She guessed a mix of both would be right for this occasion. An Empress was born but died just like that. Nonetheless, she noticed Everlight missing a tail and knew casting this technique wasn't without limit.

However, she saw Davis move to Everlight and began healing her. A dense and concentrated amount of life energy began pouring into her.
Instantly, the tail she sacrificed began to sprout, and three silver orbs radiated from it, making Empress Hexena Xylusc's jaws nearly drop.
What the... this was unlimited!?
Surely, there should be a drawback, no!?
Indeed, there was the drawback of karmic burden. Empress Hexena Xylusc eventually arrived at that thought as she knew getting healed by an Anarchic Divergent shouldn't be a good matter in the eyes of karma.
Nonetheless, she knew it was a minor matter for these two, who probably shared a deep relationship. Surprisingly, this gentle and incredible fox also called him master, making her heart swoon. He commanded such a high-tiered and high-ranked beast, an Emperor-Tier Grand Saint Magical Beast.

After Davis was done healing Everlight's tail, which wasn't an easy matter to begin with since these orbs were special, he caressed Everlight and kissed her forehead.
"Can you evolve Empress Hexena Xylusc into the next rank?"
"She's just an Immortal King Beast and also an Emperor-Tier Magical Beast, making it vastly easier for me to evolve her into a Grand Saint Magical Beast. I suspect it would take no more than one or two life orbs."
"Then, please evolve her. She's important to Evelynn's growth."
"As you wish, master-" Everlight giggled.
She couldn't understand why he wouldn't just command her. It was not like she was going to refuse. However, she loved him being all soft towards her.
Davis thanked Everlight and then turned to look at Empress Hexena Xylusc.
"Uhm... could you stand back and transform? We're going to evolve you to the next
rank."

Empress Hexena Xylusc looked confused. She hadn't heard about this matter.
Of course, she wanted to evolve, and part of the reason she joined Evelynn was to evolve. As long as she obtained the right catalyst, she could naturally evolve into an Emperor-Tier Beast. When she stepped into the Empyrean Beast Stage, she could also evolve.
There was no need to annoy Davis or his power for this matter.
However, he suggested that she move back.
Her heart skipped a beat, "You're not going to silently kill me and gut me like you did to her, right?"
"Empress Hexena, you fear me too much. I do bad things, but I'm not a villain."
Davis chuckled.

Everlight began casting her species technique as an Elysian Jadesoul Fox.
A silver radiance fell on Empress Hexena Xylusc, and she began transforming.
Davis knew a big change, like upgrading ranks, was going to take time as everything about the being was going to change, so he left Felix in Everlight's care and kidnapped Lea from behind.
