"Alright," Davis nodded, "Let's continue with the battle."
He took a step forward, causing the Venerable Knights to take a battle pose as they kept a keen watch on him in order to try and counter his attacks. They could never let him fully unleash his power, so they needed to keep him pressured from three sides.
But suddenly, he paused.
"Ah, wait a minute. Since you descended from the upper layer, is there any chance you managed to meet with my little sister? How is she doing?"
He asked with a gentle expression on his face as he looked at the three of them, "This question doesn't necessarily have to be answered by Venerable Knight Lussandra. You two can also talk if you have anything to say."
"…"
Davis saw them remain silent. He frowned before looking as though he realized.
"Could it be that I killed the Venerable Knight who actually knows what happened to my little sister?"
"We don't know about that, but I definitely do know what happened to your little sister since I just descended from the Greater Realm. In fact, I personally met her before descending down the layers to end your life."
Venerable Knight Lussandra calmly spoke.
"Oh?"
Davis dropped his hand, "You got my attention. Go on."
Venerable Knight Lussandra frowned, not liking the way he talked, but she needed more time for the Heaven's Warriors to retreat.
"Your little sister Clara is doing more than well with the Celestial Transcendent looking after her. She is his personal disciple, after all. The environment and resources she has access to are boundless, allowing her to quickly become an Empyrean. This was by the time I left the Greater Realm eight months ago, so by this time, she could've already reached Level Nine Empyrean Stage."

Davis blinked, "You mean to say that she spent a lot of time in time chambers?"
"That would be the case. I imagine she'd also be ninety years old by now."

Davis's jaws dropped without any concern for his image.
He stared at Venerable Knight Lussandra, hoping that she would say it was a joke. However, there was no sign of even battling an eyelid, much less a saying it was a joke.

He was only sixty-five years old, and that was a needless increase because his body had aged by thirty years when he was in a time anomaly together with Sect Master Jade Aurora. Otherwise, he would only be thirty-five years old.
But now, Clara neared ninety years old.
He felt that it was insane, and suddenly, he became intensely sad, and his face wilted. He could only imagine how much she missed him and her family for over sixty years inside a time chamber. That was an insane amount of time from his perspective, encompassing his entire life from Tian Long to five years ago.

The Venerable Hollow Knight and the others felt this was their chance. The Divine Emperor of Death was evidently shaken.
'Good work, Lussandra!'
The Venerable Hollow Knight and Venerable Knight Damien inwardly praised her. Their figures hunched ever so lightly, appearing as though they were going to launch themselves at the Divine Emperor of Death.
But suddenly, they found themselves unable to move.
It was because their instincts found that he hadn't let his guard down one bit. His eyes were actually wide open as he exuded a chilling gaze.
"Somehow… I don't feel like battling anymore."
Davis uttered in a cold voice, "Let's end this in a few moves, but before that, have you got anything more to say about my little sister?"
"…!"
Venerable Knight Lussandra felt her heart skip a beat as she felt an intense pressure lock onto her. It was as though the Divine Emperor of Death, for the first time, took this battle seriously, or was it the pressure of what she was about to say was going to shape the battle for the next few seconds?
She didn't know, but she opened her mouth.
"The Celestial Transcendent met with me and said that if it was me, I could handle you."
"Hmm?"
Davis's cold gaze flickered with anger, but he frowned.
At first, he was pissed that it wasn't about Clara, but then clarity filled his mind.
"I see. That person really saw this coming that he met with you since you're not a person who won't see eye to eye with a Divergent no matter what. He must be betting that if things go awry, that you can convince me to stop."
"Nonsense!"
The Venerable Hollow Knight coldly interjected, "The Heaven's Warriors won't negotiate with an Anarchic Divergent like you. Anyone who gives you more chances to live is a traitor!"
Davis turned to look at him, his expression full of disdain, "Then what do you think the Covenant tying me up is? Are you saying the Supreme One is a dogshit traitor?"
"You-!"
The Venerable Hollow Knight roared, his expression becoming alarmed as they looked up to the Celestial Transcendent since he alone was worth a hundred Venerable Knights. They could not be disrespectful to him from the bottom of their hearts since his achievement proved his way of doing this was more right than anything else.
If he decided to use a Covenant to suppress the Divine Emperor of Death, then it must be right! But if others took the same decision, he could not approve of it!

A mixture of annihilative fire, wind, and lightning combusted in perfect harmony as a powerful black-golden vortex that radiated an otherworldly dark crimson light enveloped his legs, launching him forward at speeds beyond immortal comprehension. The very space around him shattered from the sheer force of his movement, creating a howling vacuum in his wake.
The Venerable Hollow Knight's instincts screamed.
His purple hair whipped violently as his entire being trembled under the oppressive might rushing toward him. His defenses surged instinctively, a terrifying mixture of his hollow energy and the innate invulnerability of his physique forming a multi-layered barrier.
But it was futile.
Davis was already there as his fingers, covered in chaos-destruction energy, ripped through the hollow layers by filling it with chaos, making it dense enough to collapse by itself before the destructive energy ripped through it.
Finally, a single swipe!
In the other two Venerable Knight's eyes, they barely managed to see a dark crimson arc flash through the battlefield, their expressions changing as they rushed toward the Venerable Hollow Knight. They failed to react to the sudden burst of the Divine Emperor of Death's speed, the result of which was far more consequential than they expected.
The Venerable Hollow Knight's vision tilted.
For a moment, he saw his own body still floating, arms slightly raised, as if he was about to react. His mind failed to register what had just happened- until he saw his headless corpse.
His mind froze, and his senses collapsed.
The fingers that had dug into his skull unleashed a swirling wave of chaos-destruction energy, causing his head to implode into a bloody mess while his soul also ruptured.
"See you later, Hollowhead."
Davis calmly uttered as he saw the head crumble before he turned to look at Venerable Knight Lussandra and Venerable Knight Damien, who stopped and glared at him with intense expressions.
