Xu Jingming nodded. “Hence, although it’s said to be open to all official members of the Eternal Academy, Lv. 9 Origin lifeforms can’t usually afford it.”

“Heavenly Python Scale? Spirit Cleansing Water? Guardian?” Li Miaomiao said, “That adds up to 85 million credits and 1 quadrillion cosmic dollars—how expensive. One credit from an Origin lifeform was generally much more valuable than 100 million cosmic dollars. After all, the most precious items could only be exchanged using credit. Therefore, those who could use cosmic dollars would usually exchange for them.

“It’s not much for your husband,” Xu Jingming said with a smile.

As an Origin lifeform, I’m paying the 50% maximum tax rate. Li Miaomiao exclaimed in surprise, “That’s so much! Many Lv. 10 Origin lifeform families don’t even have that much, right?”
She imagined that her husband had invested a lot of his earnings into the Pearwood Group.
From the looks of it, his investment into the Pearwood Group was merely a rounding error. Tax payment was the bulk of his expenses.
She was the Pearwood Group’s number one executive officer and knew many important figures. She also knew the many large families and factions of the cosmic human race. She knew very well that 100 quadrillion cosmic dollars was a huge sum of wealth.
“Yeah, it’s more than some Lv. 10 Origin lifeform families, but it’s still far inferior to the Regis families of advanced cosmic civilizations,” Xu Jingming said. “It’s even less comparable to cosmic legends.”
The Regis who grasped high-dimensional powers might not be as efficient as him in intercepting and killing, but many of them had lived for tens of thousands of years, so they naturally had plenty of wealth accumulated.

“What can I do for you?” Sakar asked. “Is it about Eternal Academy’s credit exchange?”
“Yes.” Xu Jingming said, “Senior Brother Sakar, you’re an official member of Eternal Academy, and you’re also a Regis of the Abyss advanced cosmic civilization. I cannot think of a better person than you.”
“We weren’t the only ones who intercepted the Hellions together back then,” Sakar remarked.

Xu Jingming had also received orders to head to the other two cosmic sectors to help out in the three cosmic sectors that the Hellions plundered! Therefore, he had worked with the three guardians of Eternal Academy who had high-dimensional powers and the two guardians of Spacetime Island who had high-dimensional powers. Everyone lived together and often chatted over drinks. They had also worked together against the enemy, so they had formed a friendship.
“What do you want to exchange for?” Sakar asked.
“Heavenly Python Scale, Spirit Cleansing Water, and a Guardian,” Xu Jingming replied.
