60 Attending Combat Class
Zeras walked for 20 minutes straight as he finally arrived at an area of the EIA base.
It was completely covered with a large gate with the word “Hall of Classes” written at its top.
There were different towering buildings in the area and with the help of his map watch, he finally arrived before a dojo-like structure among the structures present in the place.
Entering through the wooden door, he could see the inside of the dojo, which was a large gigantic place with different futons on the wooden floor instead of seats. It seems the EIA modeled the Combat building in the Ancient Japanese setting. .
At the far end of the dojo, a man could be seen with golden hair and an incredibly large frame who had his eyes closed in meditation as he sat on the golden-colored futon.
One thing was sure, the combat instructor was a Non-human and most probably a dragon-race expert.
Zeras slowly made his way forward as he sat on one of the futons waiting for the class to begin — — —
40 minutes later…
The dojo was already filled to the brim with cadets who all sat cross-legged on the ground.
The man slowly opened his eyes as he began the class Immediately “…combat in the military is fighting between two groups of armed forces. So when you engage in combat, it means you are engaged in fighting that involves the use of weapons.
A spar is the exchanging of light blows with each other which might not involve weapons
What we’ll be doing for today is a spar.
So you can choose any opponent of yours and spar with each other if you both agree. The use of genetic abilities is allowed.
Points on how you failed will be explained and there will be an improvement in our fighting styles. Let’s begin”
A strange expression appeared on Zera’s face as he was expecting the man to begin with some introduction and all, but he just jumped straight to business.
Not like he was complaining…
Two young men slowly came out to the stage.
They both were from the Human race and a smile and polite bow were observed between them.
“I’m John Deere.” The blue-haired boy said.
“I’m Sima Crimson…” The crimson-haired guy said before they both got into a fighting stance.
“Begin” the man voiced out making both of them rush towards each other. Zeras noticed a strange phantom of water surrounding the blue-haired boy revealing his genetic ability to be something related to that of water while the other boy who had crimson-coloured hair was enveloped in flames.
They both met in the middle of the stage slamming a fist towards each other.
“BOOOOOOOM!”
A winner was immediately observed as John was sent reeling backward ability as his body smashed into the barrier surrounding them.
But he could seen in the next second running towards Sima, who formed fireballs in his hand and sent it towards the direction of his opponent with speed.
John’s momentum was forcefully halted as he tried to immediately conjure a water barrier before him successfully blocking the strike although the barrier was blown apart in the second strike.
He slowly breathed out in relief because all his Mana had been spent conjuring that barrier when suddenly a third flaming ball smashed in his stomach as he was sent flying into the air, falling into the ground with a thud…
The fire ability user was proclaimed the winner
“You let your guard down, why do you think your opponent won’t be able to conjure another fireball.” The combat teacher said, his voice echoing throughout the dojo.
Know in a war, a slight emotional displacement might make your opponent burst out with ten times more power than they are capable of.
You all need to know that a genetic ability no matter how stupid-looking is not weak, it is the user that matters,” The man voiced out, his voice stern.
Another two students climbed onto the stage as different fighting styles collided and genetic abilities clashed.
Zeras saw the draconic boy fight with a strength-type human gene awakener and was victorious, subduing his opponent with the pure power of his superior physical dragon might.
The instructor continuously gave advice and reasons for failure at the end of every fight as Zeras felt himself getting more enlightened by the man’s words.
Next Quinn Voidspace vs Lemont Mirad.
Zeras watched as Quinn slowly made his way out to the stage, wearing a blindfold on his eyes this time instead of those dark glasses.
His opponent was also a burly guy who had dark hair and an arrogant expression on his face. His appearance looked in every way like that of those fat bullies in the orphanage.
“Ready? Gooo”The Instructor said as Lemont moved with speed towards, his huge frame not in any way restricting his movements.
The standing silver-haired Quinn had a nonchalant expression on his face with only a small smile present.
Claws suddenly emerged from Lemont’s hands as he slashed at Quinn’s face but felt nothing. Suddenly he felt a presence behind her, he quickly turned back and slashed again but he only felt his hand slash nothing but air.
A strange expression appeared on Zera’s face as he finally learned of Quinn’s ability which seemed to be teleportation. 𝘦.𝘤𝘰𝑚
The boy just kept appearing here and there, almost immediately as he easily blocked all Lemont’s blows.
A weird stalemate occurred with Lemont slashing with his claws and Quinn just fading away.
“It’s that the only thing you can do, coward,” Lemont yelled out as all his slashes kept hitting nothing but air making him frustrated and even his Mana was rapidly draining away due to activating his genetic ability.
Quinn teleported once again as he appeared behind Lemont, their backs touching. He slowly bent his head to Lemont’s shoulder and whispered into his ears,
“A good friend of mine is watching so I think I’ll show off a little”. Lemont quickly turned and slashed behind him when he felt a hand grabbed into his hands. Quinn quickly turned slamming his other hand into Lemont’s chest, making him land on the ground and immediately jumping from it with speed due to the momentum as he found himself in the air.
A cocky smile could be seen on Quinn’s face as he disappeared from where he was standing.
BOOM!
A punch slammed with speed into Lemont’s stomach causing a shockwave to buzz through the air. Lemont felt an overwhelming force smashed into his stomach as he was forcefully blown with speed towards the barrier.
The fatty immediately coughed up some of his dinner when suddenly he felt a knee slammed into his stomach as he was forcefully blown to the other side of the barrier.
His claws dug into the battle stage trying to stop his backward momentum, but he wasn’t given the opportunity as a leg rapidly enlarged in his eyes.
“BOOOOOOM!”
Dust covered the entire stage decreasing the Visibility of the students.
The dust slowly cleared as Lemont could be seen on the floor directly knocked out.
Quinn walked back to his seat his small smile never for once leaving his face.
Vather eyes narrowed his eyes revealing only blankness at the fight as he thought to himself
‘He truly is very powerful.”
He was grateful to Lemont as he admired his courage to challenge Quinn, and also enable him to see the might of one of the nine families.
“So it seems no one is willing to challenge Mason, and we only have a single person left.
Mason Raiden vs Zeras Celestria.”
