“Wait, don’t rush in.”
Link felt a familiar presence and immediately held Jasmine back.
“What’s wrong?”

Because after he opened his mouth and held Jasmine back, the other person inside the laboratory, who was with Sage Selene, had already locked onto Link.
If Link dared utter a word that would tarnish his image, he would take action and “punish” him.
Seeing this, Jasmine stopped asking and halted too.
“Come in.”
Sage Selene called out at this point, clearly not pleased with the actions of the man sitting opposite her.

Link sighed, holding Jasmine’s hand as they entered the laboratory.
They did not go to any lab but directly headed to the top floor, to Sage Selene’s office.
As expected, the man sitting opposite Sage Selene was Sage Palo, who they had not seen for two months.
“Does playing hard to get really work, when you are chasing after the love of your life?”
Though inwardly making sarcastic remarks, outwardly, Link and Jasmine together greeted the two Sages.
“Sit, sit next to me.”
Sage Selene took on the role of the host, indicating the empty spots on either side of her.
Link and Jasmine shared a look, then seamlessly sat on the left and right of Sage Selene.
“Alright, now that the involved parties have arrived, you can continue.”
Sage Selene was pleased with Link and Jasmine’s actions. She had a smile on her face, but her tone was stark while speaking toward Sage Palo.
She wasn’t acting like she was facing her longtime love interest, but as if dealing with an ordinary collaborator.
A brief bitterness flashed in Sage Palo’s eyes, but he remained helpless.
He took advantage of his return to the main campus to look for Selene, hoping for a good conversation.
