The moment Alex stepped through the [Abyss Door], it shut behind him, sealing him inside.
The darkness ahead stretched endlessly, swallowing everything in its depths.
His six [Eternal Flames] hovered around him, their golden glow casting flickering light on the abyss.
It was the only thing keeping the void at bay.
Even so, an overwhelming pressure loomed ahead, radiating from the end of the path, an unmistakable killing intent, oppressive and vast.
There were no more monsters. No more distractions.
It was just Alex and the abyss now.
“…Undead King, if you can, help me out,” Alex muttered.
“Alright,” the Undead King’s voice echoed in his mind.
Alphox, however, was nowhere to be seen.
Alex wasn’t sure why, but he had a feeling the primordial dragon was hiding, maybe because something, or someone, was watching.
Or maybe something had happened inside the [Shadow Pet Space] that he didn’t know of.
Regardless, Alex pressed forward.
The path stretched on for what felt like forever.
There was no visible end, just the same dark, empty corridor stretching ahead.
He walked for minutes, then an hour, then two.
“This isn’t normal.”

Something was wrong.
He had reached the bottom layer, yet the path kept looping.
It didn’t matter how far he walked; it all felt the same.
[The Bottom of the Abyss is in the seventh layer, but that does not mean there is no challenge tied to it.]
‘Figures.’
Alex exhaled through his nose, already expecting something like this.
He should’ve known it wouldn’t be that easy.
This was the Abyss, after all.
The God of the Abyss would never fight fairly as long as he was able to eliminate all the competition before it even reached him.
But to be honest, who wouldn’t do that?
You could create an impossibly-difficult challenge to get past, and gather the souls/power of all of those who fail.
And even those who do survive will still be forced to fight you and your Chosen One.
That was why fighting in a God’s domain was a bad idea…
And above all, there were a few more reasons, much more dangerous than the “challenges”.
Alex didn’t know if he was ready to face them, but it didn’t matter, it wasn’t like he could back down.
The hallway felt endless, and if it was a loop…
He needed to test it.
Lifting his staff, he summoned [Demonic Spear] since it was one of his only skills that went in a straight line and was fast enough.
The moment it formed at the tip of his staff, he launched it forward with incredible speed, watching as it vanished into the abyss.
Five seconds passed.
Then—
[Behind you.]
Alex’s instincts screamed, warning him of something.
But it wasn’t a monster or another being’s attack, not at all.
Instead, Alex simply ducked just in time to avoid his own spear as it came rushing toward his back.
‘So it really is a loop.’
The spear continued circling, coming at him over and over, forcing him to move.
Eventually, he got tired of dodging and simply extended his arm, catching it mid-air.
The moment his fingers wrapped around it, the spear disintegrated since he was the one that created it.
Alone once more, Alex let out a slow breath.
He needed to break this loop.
He activated his [Cursed Eyes of Truth], and the moment he did, an instinctual command roared through his mind:
[Destroy everything.]
Alex’s eyes narrowed.
His [World Cleaver] was still active, but using it for something like this wasn’t worth it.
Instead, he took a deep breath, then cancelled [World Cleaver], regaining the 100 Destiny Points that had been reserved for it.
Then, without hesitation, he activated [Fated Cataclysm].
A small golden sphere formed in Alex’s palm.
Without wasting time, he sent it up.
It floated into the air, rising higher and higher.
The deeper it went, the more it grew, rapidly expanding.
Ten times Alex’s size.
Fifty times.
A hundred times.
After thirty seconds, it was over five hundred times larger than him, an orb of raw, destructive energy illuminating the abyss itself.
And of course, once thirty seconds passed, it also meant that Fated Cataclysm was about to unleash itself.
BOOOOOOM!
The explosion erupted with unimaginable force, consuming everything in a blinding golden light.
A massive shockwave spread outward, obliterating the walls, the ceiling, and everything in its path.
For the first time, the abyss was illuminated, if only for a moment, exposing the vast emptiness around him.
And in that instant, the floor beneath Alex disappeared.
He fell.
‘Bingo,’ Alex thought, smirking as he plummeted downward.
Of course.
It was the bottom of the abyss.
The only way forward would be to go down, obviously.
But the descent lasted longer than he expected.
‘Just how low is he?’
Alex fell, and fell, and fell.
The wind roared past his ears, but he simply closed his eyes, focusing.
The shadows in his mind still watched him, dozens of white, pupil-less eyes locked onto his soul.
But he ignored them.
[Warning! The pressure of the Abyss is becoming dangerous!]
A system panel appeared before him.
It was proof that he was reaching the very bottom of the abyss, perhaps the lowest point in the entire world.
It was almost surreal to think about.
The Abyss.
The lowest place in existence.
Alex’s grip tightened on his staff.
No matter how suffocating this place was, it didn’t matter.
He was ready.
Then, below him, something flickered.
A distant light.
‘That’s it.’
But after falling for so long, landing normally was impossible.
If he hit the ground at this speed, even he wouldn’t survive.
Wasting 10 Destiny Point just to revive was not an option either.
So instead.
FWOOSH!
Alex unfurled his dragon wings, spreading them wide.
He flapped once, then twice, slowing his momentum.
The wind resistance hit like a wall, but he powered through it.
By the time he neared the bottom, he was gliding smoothly.
Then, at last, his feet touched the ground.
Ding!
[You have reached the bottom of the abyss.]
The moment Alex landed, his gaze snapped forward.
There, standing alone in the void, was a sign.
It was an old, weathered slab of stone with a single dark arrow pointing forward.
Below it, a message was carved into the stone in ancient runes.
[God of the Abyss]
Alex exhaled slowly.
He didn’t waste time thinking about it. He simply started walking.
There were no more tricks. No more illusions. No more distractions.
Just a single path forward.
Ahead, in the distance, a light shone.
Unlike the eternal darkness of the abyss, this light was vast and overwhelming, a beacon in the void.
It was the last room.
The place where those who reached the bottom would fight the God of the Abyss.
Alex tightened his grip on his [Staff of Pure Hatred], summoning his [Bleeding Dragon Claws] on his left hand.
The final battle was here.
No more running.
No more delays.
Just him… and the “weakest” god, in one of the strongest domains.
A small, confident smirk tugged at his lips.
“Here goes, Abyss God.”
And with that, he stepped forward, into the light.
