Alex couldn’t help but smile.
The rewards were phenomenal.
Comparing them to what he knew from his past life, they were on a completely different level.

“Nice,” Alex muttered, deciding to check them out later.
Right now, there were more pressing matters to deal with.
Another notification popped up in front of him.
[You have slain the floor 10 boss.]

He had done it. Alex had eliminated all the floor bosses, clearing the path for whatever awaited him next.

The message lingered in his mind, but before he could fully comprehend it, the God of Destiny’s voice cut through the silence.
[Good victory, FateBreaker.]
The god clapped his hands, and the enormous golden scale shrank back into a compact size, small enough for him to hold effortlessly in one hand.
[It was fun. See you next time.]
With a snap of his fingers, the God of Destiny vanished, a beam of light pulling him upward into the sky.
As Alex watched, two golden bubbles descended toward him.
Inside were Alice and Aurelia, unharmed but unconscious.
The bubbles burst upon landing, releasing the two girls gently onto the ground.
‘That god isn’t so bad,’ Alex thought.
But then his expression shifted, and he shook his head.
‘No, no, why am I thinking like this? All gods are enemies,’ he reminded himself, slapping his cheeks to snap out of it.
Still, he couldn’t deny that the God of Destiny had been surprisingly fair.
He hadn’t killed Alice and Aurelia outright, even after the disturbance they’d caused, and had even revived him to make the fight fair.
Not to mention, he hadn’t harmed Alphox until he tried to intervene with the game.
‘Maybe not all gods are bad… but I’ll kill them all just to be sure,’ Alex concluded, his resolve firm.
Alphox’s voice broke his train of thought.
“Nice one, human.” The dragon grinned, visibly weakened from the previous god’s attack, “I leveled up to level 750 now. I should be able to handle enemies at level 1,000 easily.”
Alex raised an eyebrow. “That’s insane.”
Alphox had dealt with the other dragons while Alex fought Vorsak.
For dragons, leveling worked differently; defeating one of their kind could grant hundreds of levels in a single battle sometimes.
It was just that as a society, dragons didn’t kill each other often, and there was the fear of dying for no reason.
“Thanks for taking care of the others,” Alex said with a smile.
“It’s fine.” Alphox yawned, his massive burnt wings stretching lazily before he disappeared into the [Shadow Pet Space]. “I’ll be resting for a while.”
Seconds later, Alice and Aurelia began to stir.
“What the hell happened?” Alice mumbled, sitting up and rubbing her head. “I feel like I was killed, but… I’m still here?”
“A god killed you,” Alex explained casually. “Then he brought you back.”
“Oh. Cool.”
“Cool?” Aurelia raised an eyebrow. “This game, if we can even call it that anymore, is getting crazier by the second.”
“Does anyone still believe this is just a game?” Alex asked.
“No.”
“Nope.”
Alex chuckled. “Yeah, makes sense. But whatever. It’s fine.”
They experienced a shit ton of crazy stuff, but they weren’t the only ones who thought that way.
Most people if not all had now erased the concept of “just a game” from their mind.
Especially the big families, who considered it as a golden mine for power.
If what it said at the beginning was true, and that powers would be transferred to the real world eventually, there was no reason not to try to dominate.
That is why FateBreaker’s reputation kept growing overtime.
He gained a fan following, and many wondered what he would be able to do later.

[Congratulations!]
The notification appeared not just for Alex but for the girls as well.
“We did it!”
“We’re insane!”
The three of them cheered, their voices echoing through the now-empty tower.
As said before, the tenth floor of the tower was located at the very top.
But Alex remained focused, waiting for what he knew was coming next.
[You can now choose between two options.]
“Here it is.”
[Receive your reward now.]
[Wait until you access the Path of Destiny.]
“Oh.”
That panel when he defeated the last floor boss spoke about a path.
Now it was back. It couldn’t be a coincidence.
“The path,” Alex said decisively.
[Very well.]
Moments later, a massive door materialized in front of them.
It was ancient-looking, with intricate carvings and glowing symbols etched into its surface.
Ten circular holes were evenly spaced around the frame.
The words [Defeat them all] were engraved across the top in bold letters.
“I guess that’s what it is for.”
It didn’t take a genius with Alex’s knowledge to figure out what the condition to open it was.
Alice and Aurelia approached the door cautiously, but it didn’t budge.
It lacked a doorknob or any visible way to open it.
Touching it did nothing, and even attacking it had no effect.
“Let me,” Alex said, grinning confidently.
He stepped forward, his hand reaching out to touch the door.
As his fingers brushed against the surface, the ten holes began to light up, one by one.
Each hole filled with an image of a floor boss he had defeated.
The final hole, representing Vorsak, lit up last.
The door responded immediately, glowing brighter as a deep rumble echoed through the tower.
Slowly, it began to open.
The massive stone slabs slid apart, revealing nothing but pure white light beyond the threshold.
The light was blinding, making it impossible to see what lay ahead.
“What is this?” Alice asked, stepping closer.
But as she approached, a panel appeared in front of her.
[If you do not want to be erased from existence, I recommend stepping back.]
[Not that you can enter the door even if you tried.]
The ominous message was followed by a cold, mocking laugh that sent a chill down her spine.
Nervously, she backed away.
“I think this is for me,” Alex said, scratching his head. “Do you want me to teleport you back to the village?”
Alice and Aurelia exchanged a glance before nodding.
“Yeah. We’ve had enough excitement for one day,” Aurelia said, “Going to rest or something.”
“Agreed,” Alice added. “Let’s head back and tell everyone what happened.”
Alex made sure to inform them about his battle with Vorsak and everything that happened in between.
Then he grabbed their hands, activating the teleport function of his [World Map] to send them back to the [Fox Tribe Village].
Once they were gone, he turned back to the door.

“I’ll deal with that later,” Alex muttered, his eyes fixed on the glowing doorway.
The pull from the light was almost irresistible, as if urging him to step inside.
Despite the unknown danger, he felt confident.
After all, he had been working toward this moment for months.
Without hesitation, Alex dashed forward, leaping into the light.
