Zhou Chao rubbed his temples; last night, he had played with Li Yang and others until late, and he still felt a bit dizzy. He got up from the bed and headed straight to the bathroom for a shower. As he descended the stairs, he saw Lin Wu entering with a small bag in hand. “Boss, you’re up. I just bought breakfast.”
Zhou Chao enjoyed the breakfast Lin Wu brought. “Why did you come so early today? You should take care of your father more at the hospital.”
Lin Wu looked a bit embarrassed and fiddled with his hair. “My dad said you’ve helped us so much, and he doesn’t want to be a burden anymore. His health is getting better, so he can leave the hospital. He asked me to stay by your side.”
Zhou Chao couldn’t help but smile. Lin Wu’s father was also a perceptive person, and both father and son were virtuous and righteous individuals.
“Have you had breakfast?”
“Yes, I had breakfast with my dad at the hospital this morning.”

“Sure, Boss,” Lin Wu replied, then turned and headed to the upstairs gym for exercise.
After finishing breakfast, Zhou Chao lay on the sofa and took out his phone. He called the headhunting company’s number that Qin Lang had given him last night.
It was something Zhou Chao had been considering for a long time—starting an investment company to manage his personal assets and explore potential investment opportunities in the stock market. However, he preferred to leave professional matters to the experts. So last night, he asked Qin Lang for the contact of the manager of a well-known headhunting company, Radiant International.
“Hello, Mr. Yang, this is Zhou Chao.”
“Hello, Mr. Zhou. Qin told me about you last night. How can I assist you?”
“I’d like to entrust your company to recruit some talents for me. I want to establish an asset management company to oversee my personal assets and make investments.” Zhou Chao got straight to the point, explaining his plan to Mr. Yang.
“Mr. Zhou, what kind of talents do you need, and what specific positions are there?”
Zhou Chao chuckled helplessly. “To be honest, I haven’t even registered the company yet, so for now, I need someone to help me set up the company. You can slowly look for other talents; I’m not in a hurry.”
They then discussed the company’s plan, personnel structure, and salary issues. As Zhou Chao was clueless about this area, Mr. Yang explained everything to him, and he got a general idea of what was needed.
“Mr. Yang, regarding the future CEO of my company, I hope he is a principled person. Capability is important, but I don’t want someone who takes advantage of others. After all, the company will be under his full responsibility, and his moral character needs to withstand scrutiny. I might have some high expectations, but I’m not in a hurry. Take your time to find the right candidate, and if you come across someone suitable, please contact me.
Of course, if there’s someone who has experienced ups and downs in life and is genuinely dedicated to their work, that’s acceptable. However, anyone with a history of illegal activities or misconduct should be excluded. When conducting background checks, I hope you can be thorough.”
After listening to Zhou Chao’s requirements, Mr. Yang pondered for a moment. He understood that hiring the wrong CEO could be detrimental to the company in the long run, so he appreciated Zhou Chao’s cautious approach.
“Don’t worry, Mr. Zhou. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. It might take a few days.”
“That’s alright, take your time. Contact me when you find someone suitable.”
After settling the relevant agreement issues, Mr. Yang sent a digital contract, which Zhou Chao reviewed and signed without any issues. He also transferred the advance payment.
After hanging up the phone, Zhou Chao stood up and walked to the window. He remained silent for a long time, gazing at the rising sun and the bustling crowd on the Bund.
Two weeks passed quickly. Lin Wu’s father had been discharged from the hospital and was now recuperating in the old villa. The place was tranquil and suitable for rest, so Zhou Chao had Lin Wu stay with him.
During this period, Zhou Chao mostly stayed at home, reading financial books, occasionally working out, and watching Dou Shark. He also enjoyed watching Xiao Tuantuan play Mahjong, sometimes even wanting to join her in the game.
After lunch, Zhou Chao lounged on the sofa in his study, gazing at the accumulated sign-in days that reached three weeks. He decided to check in again, hoping to get some good rewards this time.

Zhou Chao thought for a moment and replied, “Yes.”

Lin Wu saw Zhou Chao getting ready to leave and followed him, but Zhou Chao quickly stopped him. “I’ll just go to the garage. I’ll be back up soon, no need to follow me.” Lin Wu had to comply.
In the underground garage, Zhou Chao quickly found the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta covered with a car cover. He carefully uncovered it, revealing a blue and black convertible supercar. He walked around the car, noticing that the left-side wheels were silver, while the right-side wheels were blue, making it quite unique. Eagerly, he sat inside the car and started the engine.
“Vroom, vroom!” The Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta revved its engine, emitting a powerful roar. Zhou Chao enjoyed the sound and glanced at the interior, which had blue accents. The overall design was a perfect blend of classic racing elements and exquisite craftsmanship. Zhou Chao admired the car in the garage for a while before covering it again. It was not the time for a joyride; he planned to take it to the supercar club and test its performance.
Once back home, Zhou Chao lay in his study, playing with the key in his hand when he heard his phone ringing on the table. He picked up the phone and saw that it was Yang, the manager from before.
“Hello, Mr. Yang. Any progress on the matter we discussed earlier?”
“Yes, I have several suitable candidates. When do you have time to come and interview them?”
“How about tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock? I’ll come to the company then.”
“Sure, looking forward to Mr. Zhou’s visit.”
