Theresa rubbed her eyes. The wilderness stretched endlessly, crisscrossed by countless ravines.
A few hours earlier, just after Xing Chen and Theresa had set up Wandering's End, the crude host machine suddenly received a very blurry signal.
The two discussed it and decided to investigate the source of the signal. Due to signal distortion, Theresa could only roughly move the coordinates of Kazimierz's Dripwater Village to an approximate range.
After the journey to Dripwater Village concluded, Theresa's understanding of space deepened, and she gained new insights into her Originium Arts. Her threads could not only mend physical objects but even connect and control space.
Normally, she would need the continuity of civilization to gain such world-altering power, but now she could do it on her own.
Combining the power of computers and the "library," she could even move freely within areas covered by the signal and take items within the range of her Originium Arts.
As the spell concluded, the two discovered that a pioneering outpost built by the Columbia government was not far away.
Even more fortunately, there was a secret facility of Columbia agents within this pillar. Through the equipment inside, Xing Chen and Theresa determined the approximate location of Trimounts.
But the problem was that the wasteland was not flat, and Trimounts was often in transit.
The best way was still to find a team carrying a real-time communication terminal.
"Someone's coming. A large convoy, equipped with heavy vehicles, and... there are many of them."
