Chapter 3: Derry Town
Xue Landi vaguely remembered that the coast was near the Town, where there was plenty of water and it was sparsely populated, making it a good place.
"I'll make sure to bury it tonight, but it's still early, so I can eat first."
However, before Xue Landi could prepare the ingredients, the pottery jar already began to react, and a faint rustling sound could be heard. This meant the seeds were starting to germinate.
"Is Epic quality that amazing? Does it take effect so quickly?"
Since that was the case, there was no more time to delay.
Anyway, the Xue family was located in the suburbs of the Town, and there was no one around at night.
So, Xue Landi put the pottery jar into his backpack.
Then he changed into a pure black outfit, slung on his backpack, and rode a bicycle out the door.
When he passed Carrie's, he paused and observed for a moment.
The lights were already out, but listening carefully, he could occasionally hear a faint sobbing sound.
"Carrie? Such a familiar name."
Xue Landi didn't think much of it. After all, many foreigners share the same name, especially in South Korea. If you call out Park Min-joon on the street, at least a few hundred people will respond.
Xue Landi, dragging his weak body, pedaled harder and quickly arrived at the shore.
The tide ebbed and flowed incessantly, and to the left of the coast was a towering cliff. The scenery on the cliff was beautiful, a place where the rich lived.
And below the cliff was Xue Landi's ideal planting spot.
"This place is sparsely populated and secluded. Even if someone comes to the beach to play, they won't come here, as there are sharp reefs underwater, and one could easily get cut if not careful."
Xue Landi stripped and entered the water. With his Water Affinity, there was not much difference between him in the water and on land; he was as agile as a fish.
After finding a place with plenty of mud and sand, he buried the pottery jar.

After confirming everything was in order, Xue Landi resurfaced and came ashore.

However, during these fourteen days, he still needed to pay extra attention to the situation here to avoid any accidents.

Xue Landi put on his clothes and rode his bicycle back.
He didn't stop when he passed his house. He planned to go to the supermarket in the Town to buy some food for the next two weeks' rations, and also to buy some detection devices to set up around the lotus.
The situation in America was different from East Asia; a vast land with a sparse population was a very obvious characteristic.
Around the Town, there were only scattered households. To buy anything, one had to go to Midtown or Upper City.
For example, Xue Landi's home was in the suburbs of Derry Town. Within a one-mile radius, there wasn't even a convenience store. There were only ten households in total, eight of whom had moved to the Town, leaving only the Xue family and Carrie's still inhabited.

Xue Landi rode for half an hour before finally reaching the Town. Along the way, he also noted down the road conditions, such as where the streetlights began and where there were surveillance cameras.
Upon arriving in the Town, Xue Landi first found a barbecue restaurant and ordered a table full of meat.

After a hearty meal, Xue Landi carried his satchel and went to the Walmart in the Town to shop.
Xue Landi ordered a lot of frozen meat and vegetables that could be stored for a long time. His family's car was still being repaired at the garage, and he couldn't carry so many things on his bicycle, so he left his address and chose to have the supermarket deliver them the next day.

"Landi?"

Xue Landi, who was selecting goods, turned his head to look at the source of the voice.
Two young men, one black and one white, dressed in hip-hop style.

Recalling carefully, these two seemed to be the original owner's classmates? They had done a lot of bullying in the past.
The blond teenager walked forward provocatively and even tugged at Xue Landi's face.
"Why haven't you been to school lately, kid? We've lost a lot of fun without you."

"Hey, what are you doing? Don't cause trouble here."
Mainly, if they started fighting and knocked over the shelves, he would have to clean up the mess.
"I know you. You're Carl, and you're Robert. Do you want me to call your parents?"
Carl was the blond young man, and Robert was the black young man.
Both lived in the Town, so many people naturally knew their bad reputation.
"Alright, alright, we won't cause trouble on your turf."
Seeing the Supervisor intervene and attract the attention of other customers, the two naturally couldn't do anything more.
Robert forcefully grabbed a large bundle of snacks and then threw them all next to the shopping cart, also threatening fiercely.
"Remember to pay for me, or you know the consequences."
Carl shrugged and made a throat-slitting gesture towards Xue Landi.
"Just listen to Robert and you won't get beaten. We're waiting for you at the supermarket entrance."
After saying this, the two whistled and left.
Xue Landi just glanced sideways and then quietly righted the cart.
The Supervisor, seeing that Xue Landi hadn't said a word from beginning to end, thought he was scared, so he asked, "How about it, young man? Do you want me to arrange for you to leave through the back door?"
"No need. I'll have a good talk with them and tell them that bullying is wrong."
Xue Landi was still worrying that his flowers had no nutrients. Weren't these two guys perfect candidates?
Now he should think carefully about how to trick these guys to the shore.
His weak body couldn't carry so many people.
The Supervisor smiled disdainfully and paid no more attention. As long as they didn't cause trouble here, it was fine.
And Xue Landi pulled up his hood again and organized his purchases.
With his frail appearance, no one should think he was a threat, right?
