Chapter 1: Lynn Hall
Inside an upscale reception in Manhattan.
Everyone who could attend this reception was a person of significant status.
For example, General Ross from the Military, New York's newly appointed Mayor, the Chief Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, and current Presidential aides, among others.
As the Assistant Director of the New York FBI Division, Lynn Hall would normally not be qualified to attend a reception of this level; he was brought by his direct superior.
Lynn Hall’s direct superior, James Duke, is the Director of the New York FBI Division; he was currently chatting with Alexander Pierce and Congressman Stern.
Upon seeing Alexander Pierce leave and James Duke beckon to him, Lynn Hall, who had been waiting, smiled and excused himself from the guests, then walked towards Duke.
“Come, Lynn, let me introduce you. This is Congressman Stern, a good friend of mine for many years.”
Listening to the Division Director’s introduction, Lynn Hall smiled and extended his hand: “Hello, Mr. Stern, it’s a pleasure to meet you!”
Smilingly shaking Lynn Hall’s hand, Stern praised, “I’ve heard James speak of you. To become an Assistant Director of the New York FBI Division at such a young age is truly impressive.”
“You flatter me, Mr. Stern. It’s all thanks to Director James’s support that I’ve come this far.”
“Haha…”
Patting Lynn Hall on the shoulder, James Duke chuckled to Stern, “The FBI will be the era of these young people from now on.”
“What, are you planning to retire and take your grandson to school every day?”
“Haha, I have that intention. In a few years at most, my position will have to be handed over to someone else.”
Listening to the conversation between his direct superior and Congressman Stern, Lynn maintained a smile as a foil.
After the reception ended and everyone left, Lynn also departed.
Only then did James Duke, who had been smiling all along, drop his smile.
“Is that young man the member you plan to develop?” Sitting opposite James, Congressman Stern asked with a smile.
“I have high hopes for him,” James replied, taking a sip of champagne as he answered his old friend’s question. “He has methods, he has a brain, and most importantly, this young man is very smart.”
“He reminds me of Alexander when he was young.”
“You evaluate him so highly?”
Congressman Stern was somewhat surprised by James’s assessment of Lynn Hall.
Others might not know, but as a member of HYDRA, how could Stern not know what Alexander Pierce was like when he was young?
“Let’s not talk about that anymore, Stern. You’re preparing to run for Senator using New York as a stepping stone, right? If there’s anything you need help with, just ask. I can provide some support here.”

Driving his black Chevrolet towards his apartment, Lynn Hall was pondering the events of today’s reception.
When the reception ended, he observed carefully that most people chose to leave.
However, a small portion of people remained, including Alexander Pierce and Congressman Stern.
It is certain that Alexander Pierce is HYDRA.
And that Congressman Stern is the Congressman who, in the future, will try to use the power of Congress to seize Tony Stark’s Mark armor.
If he remembered correctly, he was also a member of HYDRA.
So, what is the identity of his direct superior?
Is he also HYDRA?
Just as Lynn Hall was pondering, his phone suddenly rang.
Taking out his phone, Lynn Hall smiled and answered the call.
As soon as the call connected, he heard an “angry” voice from the other end: “Lynn, you haven’t come back for our weekend family gathering in three weeks!!!”
“And didn’t you promise me that when I had a day off on the weekend, you’d take me to a concert for a girl’s rock band? And…”
Listening to Gwen’s complaints on the other end of the phone, Lynn Hall chuckled, “Isn’t it because I’ve been very busy?”
“Busy? I think you’ve forgotten your lovely little sister!”
“How could I?”
“I don’t care, I must see you next weekend. Mom and Dad miss you, and there’s the concert…”
After receiving a series of promises, Gwen Stacy on the other end of the phone finally hung up, satisfied.
Lynn Hall is a transmigrator.
When he first arrived in this World, his soul transmigrated into an infant.
After growing up in an orphanage until he was six, he was adopted by George Stacy.
He didn’t leave George Stacy’s home until he was seventeen when he was admitted to Yale University, but their relationship remained close.
After graduating from university at twenty-one, he joined the FBI, and in just three years, he became an Assistant Agent Director of the New York FBI Division.
Initially, Lynn Hall thought he didn’t have a golden finger until the system activated when he was eighteen.
Lynn’s golden finger is a Favorability System, which allows him to see others’ favorability towards him through the system.
Favorability ranges from a minimum of -10 to a maximum of 10. When someone’s favorability towards him reaches 7, he can receive a gift, and the gift can be refreshed once a year.
When favorability reaches 8, the gift can be upgraded and refreshed once every three months.
When favorability reaches 9, the gift is upgraded again, and can be refreshed once a week.
As for when favorability reaches 10, the gift can be refreshed daily.
Unfortunately, 10 favorability is very difficult to achieve; even beloved parents usually only have 9 points.
Currently, the Stacy couple and his sister Gwen have high favorability towards Lynn.
His skill in Hot Weapon Mastery was obtained when Uncle George Stacy’s favorability reached 9.
Unfortunately, the favorability gifts from ordinary people are usually just experience.
Also, killing people with negative favorability towards him can also drop gifts or inheritances.
