This made Explosive Arrow an insanely powerful skill, capable of delivering massive destruction and becoming a key weapon in his arsenal.

[Deals 1,750% physical damage to a single target and reduces their defense by 35% for 10 seconds.

The next skill was the perfect setup for Explosive Arrow. It now reduced enemy defense from 30% to a staggering 35%. That level of defense reduction was absolutely insane! With a 10- second duration, even the toughest tanks would struggle once hit by this skill. The only downside was the 2-second charge time, meaning he couldn’t cast the skill recklessly- enemies could potentially dodge or counter before he finished charging.
The Mana cost had risen slightly, from 700 to 800, and the initial damage had also increased from 1,500% to 1,750%. But the real standout remained the massive defense debuff. That 35% reduction could significantly boost his team’s overall damage output, especially during critical raid boss battles. The next upgrade he received was also from the Super Novice Class, this time involving spear-type weapon skills.

Spiral Pierce now had its cooldown reduced to 12 seconds, a significant boost to its effectiveness. With the cooldown shortened from 18 seconds, he could use the skill much more frequently, enhancing his overall damage output and making him far more effective with a spear in combat.

Spear Guard got a significant upgrade as well, boosting its damage reduction from 50% to 65% and its counter damage from 200% to 300%. Although the cooldown stayed the same, this was still impressive for a skill at just level 2. Who knows how powerful it could become as he continued leveling it up?

Groundbreaker was a line-area skill with immense potential for cumulative damage, especially when multiple enemies were caught in its path. The damage boost from 300% to 450% was significant, considering it hit every opponent within the line of impact. This increase made the skill even more devastating, spreading its enhanced damage across all enemies in its direct path, multiplying its effectiveness in group battles.
Alright, five skill levels gained after all this time. He had to admit, he’d grown a bit spoiled by the Self Transcendence Blessing, half-expecting all his skills to effortlessly reach max level. Lol. But lately, his skill progression had slowed because he wasn’t often on the front lines himself—most of the fighting was handled by his summons.
Additionally, skills tied to specific weapons and armor didn’t level up just by fighting monsters. Their potential could only be enhanced through upgrades, which he had done already, though it had drained a fortune in both resources and money.
However, one question still nagged at him-why hadn’t he unlocked any skills for the knuckle-type weapons yet? Could it be because he rarely used the Moonvine Knuckles himself, preferring to let Dendros handle them instead?
Looking at his Super Novice skills overall, he had Blessing of Health and Healing Touch for support; Charged Attack, Quick Strike, and Blade Dance for swords; Explosive Arrow and Sniper’s Focus for bows; and Spiral Pierce, Spear Guard, and Groundbreaker for spears. But so far, no knuckle-type skills had appeared.
Broken found himself craving more progress he wanted to upgrade everything, level up everything, and gain everything. Damn, he was starting to get seriously greedy. But wasn’t that what every player in Immortal Legacy was after? They all poured ridiculous amounts of resources and money into getting stronger. So, yeah, he was no different-just one of many chasing power.
There was still one skill from his Royal Blacksmith class that he hadn’t tapped into yet- Blacksmith’s Soul Engrave. It was an incredible ability, allowing him to engrave a Monster Soul Stone into a weapon or armor, imbuing it with unique skills or even the soul of the monster itself. But the cost to use it was outrageous!
He needed Monster Soul Stones for so many things-especially to feed the two spirits contracted with him. That constant demand was driving him to figure out how to hunt for these stones in bulk. He was determined to make it happen, but there was always that pesky issue-limited time.
He sighed, feeling the pressure of racing against the clock. Even though time in the game flowed three times faster than in the real world, it still didn’t feel like enough to keep up with
everything.
Yet, despite that, he couldn’t ignore the progress he’d made. He was advancing faster than most players in Immortal Legacy, positioning himself comfortably among veterans who had been grinding since the game’s release. And he had achieved all this in a fraction of the time. But then, Broken reconsidered Blacksmith’s Soul Engrave. Why not just give the skill a try? What was the harm in testing it out?
He recalled something Fokil had once told him-using Soul Engrave required caution. The Monster Soul used for engraving had to be carefully matched with the item in terms of element, skill type, material, and even the monster’s behavior. If the combination wasn’t right, the engraving could fail entirely, leading to a huge waste of resources.
Still, Broken only had one Monster Soul Stone left-the Sun Beetle Lv. 205. It came from an insect-like creature native to the desert. He wondered what kind of item would be ideal for engraving a soul like this. And what if the result didn’t live up to his expectations?
He thought back to the abilities the Sun Beetle had wielded in battle. To be sure, he opened his system’s library and scrolled through the monster section, reviewing the various Sun Beetles he had fought before. Each one had its own unique set of skills, and he needed to be certain this was the right move. After all, this could either enhance his gear to impressive new heights—or leave him regretting the wasted opportunity.

would be random. Despite the uncertainty, he was curious about the potential rewards. He wanted to see just how far he could push this skill and what kinds of powerful abilities he
might unlock through Soul Engrave.
Should he go through with the experiment? It was risky, but the curiosity was there, tugging at him. If it worked, it could give him a serious advantage.
